Scottish Mill Bobbins
£4.50
These old antique MIll Bobbins were discovered in a lace mill in a small Scottish village of Newmilns. The mill was built in the 1860’s and produced fabric and lace for companies such as Libertys of London. The bobbins are aged with years of use and the thread is not at all strong enough for general use due to the age of these but I have sewn a few things by hand for decoration so it could be applied very gently . The colours of the red and the orange is very vibrant and the ends of each bobbin differs, with some being painted and some not. The white threaded bobbins all have red painted ends. They are of wooden construction and those are in good strong condition. There are loads of uses for these gorgeous bobbins and even as a display item they are extremely pleasing to have.
The price is for one single bobbin of your choice.
The thickness of the bobbins vary so feel free to get in touch if you have a preference.
